At the beginning of the video, you can hear a heartwarming meow, followed by the sight of the two kittens meeting for the first time since the first kitten’s adoption.

Initially cautious, they gently boop their noses as they fully process this reunion. One kitten was slightly nervous at first, so she hid under a cupboard, while the other watched and went after her.

The post is captioned, “The meow of relief in the beginning,” and it’s clear these two felt something special upon seeing each other again.

While the kittens likely recognized each other as siblings, studies suggest that even unrelated cats can develop strong bonds.

Research published in Scientific Reports revealed that cats, much like humans, can learn the names of their fellow feline companions through their daily interactions.

This study found that cats are able to connect names and faces, strengthening the bond between them over time.
