With fame, money, women, crime and fake friends come. In 1992 Mike Tyson went to prison following the rape allegations made by Desiree Washington, a contestant for Miss Black America.
Before going to prison, Tyson was at the peak of his career. Of course, people would think languishing for three years behind bars would bring him down. However, it turned out to be the opposite.
In an interview on the “The Pivot Podcast” podcast, Tyson looks relaxed, smoking marijuana, the former champion looks calm and talks about sensitive topics like in prison.
“I had the best three years of my life in prison,” Tyson said. “I have peace. Money means nothing if you don’t have your peace, stability and balance. You need your sanity to dictate any part of life.”
“I have great food, everyone is nice to me, they treat me well.”
“I would run around the yard 8 or 9 miles and at night I would jump for four hours, in my cell. Everyone treated me well in prison, they were afraid of me but I was always a good person.
Tyson sent a message to his fans
“I want people to know that life is a willingness to die,” Tyson said.
“I believe that once you die, you start living. There is more than just us out there. You have to kill your ego to truly appreciate life. Ego is good, but it’s not life. Use it for football and boxing or whatever.” anything, but live life without it.”
