1. How to get to Hoi An?

Hoi An Ancient Town has no railway stations or airports, so most tourists travel to Hoi An from Da Nang by bus, taxi or motorbike. If tourists travel Hoi An by train, they must be stop at Da Nang station or Tam Ky station. By air, tourists must be stop at Da Nang airport (30 kilometres from Hoi An). To get a taxi, exit the airport and walk 30 metres to the stand. From the Da Nang airport to Hoi An takes about 30 minutes. Mai Linh taxi or Vinasun taxi are considered the most reliable. It ranges from 300.000 VND to 400.000 VND, depending on your drop off point.

If you take the bus, you must get to the local bus station. The cheapest bus is the city bus which can be found at 33 Dien Bien Phu, Thanh Khe District, Da Nang. This bus runs every hour and costs about 15.000 VND for one-way ticket.

Traveling by motorbike is a popular option for backpackers throughout Vietnam. A trip from Da Nang to Hoi An by motorbike usually costs 100.000 VND to 300.000 VND/each, depending on the bike and your negotiation skills. This doesn’t include petrol.
