One such story unfolded in Corpus Christi, Texas, where an abandoned cat was found outside an apartment complex,lying quietly on a gray cat bed. She was nestled under a towel, seeking solace in the only comfort she had.
Kayla, a friendly face at the apartment’s leasing office and an avid animal lover, was the first to hear about the distressed cat. Moved by her plight, thiscaring woman immediately headed out to investigate.
As she drew closer, she saw a piece of paper taped to the mailboxes above the cat’s head – a note that read ‘Please help us’.
The plea was simple, yet it conveyed a depth of desperation that touched Kayla’s heart. She carefully approached the cat only to discover another surprise – this poor thing wasn’t just resting; she was giving birth!
Three tiny kittens were already huddled under the towel, their mewling cries barely audible, while the fourth was on its way into the world. Kayla knew she needed to act quickly to ensure the safety of this desperate cat family.
Leveraging her experience as a volunteer at Coastal Bend Cat Rescue, she helped the mama cat deliver her last kitten and swiftly moved them all into her office.

Mama cat was named BonBon, a sweet name for a sweet soul, and her kittens were affectionately named Reeses, Hershey, Dove, and Butterfinger.
