Messi continues to shine to help Inter Miami fly high. Since returning from injury, Messi has been flying high with Inter Miami. And against New England, he not only shined but also scored many notable milestones.

Inter Miami’s weak defense continued to lose first. They even conceded the goal after 30 seconds, when they let Tomas Chancalay escape and easily hit the ball to open the scoring.

But this setback did not cause any difficulties for Lionel Messi. In the 32nd minute he broke into an open position to beat goalkeeper Callejón and equalise. This is the sixth consecutive match in which the Argentine star has been “fired”.

In the second half, Messi continued to be the brightest star. He scored again in the 67th minute, also with an assist and a shot in Callejón’s face. The delicate pass was made by Sergio Busquets, Messi’s former teammate at Barcelona.

The other two goals for Inter Miami continued to feature the Argentine star’s contribution. In the 83rd minute, he shot dangerously, causing Callejón to fall into the block. The goalkeeper was unable to get up in time to block Benjamín Cremaschi’s close-range shot.

In the goal that sealed the 4-1 victory, it was Messi who created Luis Suarez’s goal. With 2 goals and 1 assist in this match, Messi became the first player in MLS history to reach the milestone of 5 consecutive matches with at least two goal contributions (scoring, assisting) in each match.

The win over New England also helped Inter Miami temporarily rise to the top of the MLS East region.
