Flying squirrels are extremely adorable animals. When eating, sleeping, climbing, and playing, people can’t take their eyes off them.

The extremely adorable flying squirrel is called Ezo Momonga, this species is found on the island of Hokkaido, Japan and in Europe, from the Baltic Sea to the Pacific coast, they belong to the type of Old World flying squirrel.

Ezo Momonga flying squirrels do not hibernate, but in winter they sleep many times a day.

This cute flying squirrel easily makes people feel loved and pampered because it has big round black eyes, cute little feet and super soft fur.

In Hokkaido, Japan, Ezo Momonga flying squirrels are considered local mascots, depicted on train tickets traveling in the area.

Known as real flying squirrels, these adorable animals don’t actually fly. They use a membrane of hair on their front and hind legs to glide. With these moves, they can fly more than 100 meters.

Usually when running away from enemies or simply wanting to move to another tree without spending much climbing, flying squirrels will spread their limbs, open their membranes and glide forward.

In addition to nuts, flying squirrel Ezo Momonga also likes to nibble on young leaves.
